Great Beer Pong Tips and Information
Beer pong is a fun game, especially for those of you in college. Here are some tips to make the game safe and fun for everyone. Grab a drink and read along!
As you may or may not know, there have been some recent health concerns for those who play beer pong frequently. People share cups, toss a dirty ball into the cups and so on. It was said that the H1N1 virus was on the verge of spreading nationwide and that beer pong could have helped it. We find that incredibly hard to believe, but still wanted to provide some safety tips and info to make sure you are as healthy as can be after your next game of pong!
Here are several ways to keep you healthy when you pong on! First, try using water in the cups instead of beer. We are not saying “don’t drink beer”. We mean that you can keep an individual cup or bottle of beer to drink, so you don't have to use the same cup as everyone else who is playing. When a shot is made, move the cup to the side as normal, but drink from your individual cup instead of the game cup. You can even refill your own cup throughout the game. This is an easy way to keep viruses and germs from spreading! If you are hosting the party, you can purchase a keg instead of boxes of beer. This will save you money and limit the amount of trash and cleanup. It will also help people keep beer in their own cups and prevent the spreading of germs. You're welcome!

As a party host, it is always important to be responsible. You do not want any of your guests to get injured or sick while they are at your party. Also, you definitely don't want anyone drinking and driving after a night at your house. Hosting a party can be a huge liability if no precautionary measures are taken.
For starters, you can alternate who plays by switching up the teams after each game. This way, everyone gets a chance to play and ample time for breaks. This can help limit the amount of alcohol your pong players drink. Make sure no one who is drinking plans on driving home. For those who are, you can even offer to take their keys when they arrive to your house. A lot of times it is even a good idea to have your guest stay the night, so they don’t have to worry about how they are getting home.
If you are looking for the best beer pong tables to play on, you can find a variety of different designs all over the internet and at stores like Spencer's and Walmart. If you are on a tight budget, you ca even try to build your own. Building a table can take hours and you need the proper tools and materials. If you are not experienced in building anything, we do not recommend this option!
So, if you don't own an official table and have no desire to build one, figuring out what to use for a table can be the worst. Using your kitchen table can be alright, but you still risk damaging the table. You also should try to stay away from carpeted areas because beer and water are always spilled during a game. You do not want your living room carpet to smell like stale beer the next day, trust us! We have found that the best place to play the game is on a concrete basement or tiled floor. These types of surface areas are stain and water resistant, making them easy to clean. Even better, if the weather is nice, you can play outside. The back deck or lawn is a perfect area because cleanup will be a breeze!
